HIGHWAY 4: CLASSIC ROCK 21ST CENTURY MUSCLE
Highway 4 is a rock band out of Western Pennsylvania quickly rising to popularity. Eclectic personal favorites of the 70's music era have been the backbone to developing the unique but reminiscent classic sound. Armed with the music from their full-length album, Up In Arms(6/21/14), and the music of their influences, Highway 4 possesses a professional quality and unmatchable energy. Their youthful, wild passion and raw talent are the unmistakeable components of every performance from this rising band. "We're losing the human element in today's music. Perfection is impossible, and no one really wants that anyway." -Kelly Brown, Lead singer of Highway 4 In February 2012, they competed in The X Winter Rock Showcase & placed 2nd Overall out of over 110 Bands. Then, in early March, they took 1st Place in the Next Big Thing Tour at Mr. Small's Theatre out of over 40 bands. In July 2013, they won a Grassy Award from 97.7 The Rock Station for their song "One Of These Days." They've shared the stage with musicians including The Clarks, Zepparella, Truth & Salvage Co., Blackberry Smoke, Jack Russell's Great White and Hot Action Cop. Production of their demo, "Rock N Roll Lives" wrapped in late July 2012, and full-length album, Up In Arms, was released June 21, 2014. Each of the members were raised on, and still thrive on, what can only be classified as "classic rock." Favorites include: Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, AC/DC and,(newer artists)The Foo Fighters. |
Convoy is a Chicago based band that plays music described as “Swamp Rock”. The guys are notorious for hanging out with the crowd before and after shows.
The band was formed in the fall of 2009. Convoy plays southern metal/rock originals. Some of their influences are: Clutch, Corrosion of Conformity, Pantera, and Black Label Society. The band is comprised of versatile seasoned musicians. Brian Corbin is the singer, rhythm guitarist, and song writer of Convoy’s original music. Brian grew up in Kentucky and then moved to Chicago when he was a teen. His passion for southern rock is evident when he sings Convoy’s originals. He’s vocals are filled with raw emotion. Mike Getz is the drummer. Mike is from the Chicago southside area. Mike has been playing drums for over 20 years. Mike is an energetic player and thrives on motivating the crowd. You’ll hear is screams echoing off of the crowd. Dan Thompson (Big D) is the bassist and backup singer. Big D is also from the Chicago southside area. He has been a playing professional for over 25 years. Big D is a versatile bass player that can run the gamut from Blues to Metal, and industrial music. Big D holds down the bottom end of the group. Johnny Daniel is the lead guitarist and backup vocals. Johnny grew up on the northside of Chicago. Johnny is a multi-talented musician who plays guitar, bass, keyboard, and sings. He is a walking jukebox. He has an impressive musical history. He is also the producer of Convoy's albums. He's leads are memorizing. In July of 2010, Convoy released their first album, "River of Sorrow". During live performances, you will hear the crowd singing word by word of many of the tunes. The album brought them recognition throughout venues in the Midwest and southern US states. They also gained air play on radio stations such as: The Kat 105.5, Rock Gator Radio, Rock Chicago Show, and Rock Addict Radio. Convoy began recording their second album, “Blue Collar America” in 2011. Convoy took a year recording this in their basement Rock Lounge. With Johnny turning the knobs and Brian turning in amazing tunes – the album was release in September 2012. Everything is turned up a notch since the first album “River of Sorrow”. There’s even stronger vocals and bigger sound. Big D and Mike prove that groove is worth its weight in gold when laying down any kind of tune. The dual guitars of Brian and Johnny are never multi-tracked - just one solid take each - making this record sound live and vibrant. The guitar solos combine classic rock flash and melody making it easy to raise your fist every time. Whether Convoy is playing a beer-soaked back room in Janesville, Wisconsin or opening for a national act - fans and newcomers echo the same thing again & again. Convoy has something special. *All songs on the album River of Sorrow and Blue Collar America were written and produced by Convoy. © Convoy 2010 and 2012 |
For Redefined Reflection, what started as a group of three friends dreaming about making music and touring nationally is now becoming a reality.
