Loudini Interviews REN

"I make music for your soul... and hips and stuff" - this is the goal of New York native & groovy-indie pop songstress RÉN, (AKA Renee Orshan). Gaining the plaudits of the likes of Neon Gold, Pigeons & Planes and NYLON Magazine for her unique sound, RÉN’s continuous thought provoking tracks are fresh in perspective. Complementary in wisdom to her debut single "Time", her latest release “Into the Unknown” is an escape and much-needed reminder to let go of those aspects of life you will never have control over. In a way it embodies the core concept of RÉN - live fully, 'let go' of everything holding you back, and go 'Into the Unknown'.

Lead Singer Renée Orshan is joined by her Von Trap like family in her live set with brother Reuben Orshan on lead Guitar and sister Eden Orshan on background vocals. Renée's producers include the talented Luca Buccellati & Brandon Bost.

Inspired by whimsical artists like Kimbra, No Doubt, MGMT, and Lily Allen, RÉN strives to creates a quirky and fun atmosphere whilst still making room for the etheral enchanting sounds of artists like Sia and Frou Frou.

"My favorite artists are all over the spectrum when it comes to sound. The Beatles will make you dance, make you think, make you smile, and make you cry. I want to do that!"
