The Legacy of Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction

Lou and Katie talk about the legendary album Appetite for Destruction. Listen in on some of their favorite moments and learn so little know fact about this MONSTER rock release. And music from Loudini Artists: Hagar Levy, Anthony Gomes , Karen Lovely

Hagar Levy  http://www.hagarlevy.com/

Israeli-born Hagar Levy moved to Antwerp, Belgium at the age of 1, where she spent the first 15 years of her life. From the outside looking in, music in general - and mostly the piano - has always been her tool to find release as well as an authentic identity and voice. Music IS her quest as person.
Hagar's lyrics, melodies and harmonies are deeply influenced by Rock & R' n' B singer-songwriters such as Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Pj Harvey, Erykah Badu, Sade & Jill Scott.

Her debut album - recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by longtime engineer and friend Jonathan Jacobi - is due for worldwide release in 2016. Preceded by the singles 'Hectic' and 'Highway', the album features 8 tracks; 7 of which written by Hagar and a rousing cover version to the 70’s soul classic “Reasons” by Minnie Riperton.
She is planning to tour Europe in support in 2016.

Anthony Gomes  http://www.anthonygomes.com/

The Toronto singer/songwriter/guitarist, Anthony Gomes, has been creating virtuosic, burning blues since his recorded debut in 1998. 12 releases and numerous awards and ecstatic accolades later, the aptly-named, riff-laden Electric Field Holler crackles with his bare wires passion.

The heavy hitting “Turn It Up!” has Gomes rightly boasting “…got Mississippi lightning in my soul, I was raised on the thunder of rock ‘n’ roll…gonna play the music till the day I die, just like B.B. King and Buddy Guy,” his voice and guitar roaring. “Back Door Scratchin’” uses clever tom cat imagery “You found someone new, don’t want me no more. You put me out, baby, can’t get past your door… I’m back door scratchin’, howlin’ all night. I’m back door scratchin’ till the morning light.” The mighty chugging “Whiskey Train” has Gomes growling “It’s gonna take a whole lot of whiskey to drink away the pain. I gotta get half-way down the label, or go insane,” his guitar smoking like a 20-ton locomotive.
