Jamming leads to friendships and even more jamming for Shaman Elect

Tight grooves, crisp tones, emotive lyrics, waves of mood oriented improvisation.
Shaman Elect was born inside warehouses turned art studios in Brooklyn, NY. It started as a fusion of styles between Ethan Warshowsky(synths, vocals) and Fredy Garcia (guitar, vocals). Together, they began developing each other’s songs by combining elements of jazz, rock, and electronica.
In early 2017, leading up to their first live performance, Mike Malkowski (drums, vocals) joined the group, contributing his inventive and dynamic drumming. Expressive singer, Sarah Warshowsky (lead vocals) became the group’s frontwoman.

After a series of successful performances in New York City, the band entered the studio to work on their debut full-length album, Mind the Ether.
A distinct fusion of styles, the album captures the diverse musical backgrounds of its creators, ranging from the pulsating and brooding qualities of electronic music (“Woman in Black”) to the groove based improvisational nature of modern psychedelic rock (“Hugo of Bath”). Rich with captivating rhythms and inspired performances, Mind the Ether will in no doubt elicit physical movement and raw emotion from its listeners.
Thematically, the album utilizes sonic imagery to tell the story of the human condition. The “Intro” track establishes the unmistakable psychedelic mood of the album by placeing the listener in a mysterious forest greeted by a sage.  We are warmly welcomed to sit by a crackling fire and invited to listen.

What follows is an emotional journey with peaks of euphoria and troughs of desolation and rage.

Friends since high school, Pravada continues to put out Beautiful Haunting Pop

Simon and Garfunkel lost the hope, like a one hand Stevie Wonder, some Gay dance nights, whiskey mornings, Brazilian hospital release music. Yeah, fun-dark-pop

Neil and Bee find eachother in the classifieds and end up making great guitar pop together

Based in London, Neil Fitzsimon and Bee Brogan aim to produce “pure pop for now people.” Neil and Bee were both members of the band, Pretty Blue Gun, who were signed to an indie label, licensed to Sony. They released two albums which were critically acclaimed. Some of the guest musicians included members of The Art of Noise, Dave Bronze (Eric Clapton’s bass player), Tobias Boshell (Moody Blues) and Pip Williams, who played guitar on the Walker Brothers’ track, ‘No Regrets’. The albums were produced by Pat Collier, who produced Katrina and the Waves’ international hit, ‘Walking on Sunshine’. The band went on national tours across the UK, until disbanding.

Neil Fitzsimon, the songwriter, and Bee Brogan, the vocalist, then went on to form a songwriting/production partnership that led to placement of their songs in Film and TV. They also wrote a musical, Jack Dagger, which was showcased at the Greenwich Theatre, London for the Musical Futures Award. It was also showcased at the Bridewell and the Royal College of Music in London. They have also just had a song placed in a USA Sci-Fi Feature film. They recently had a track reach number 3 in a French national download chart.

All songs are written by Neil Fitzsimon. Vocals, keyboards, drums and engineering by Bee Brogan. All guitars played by Neil Fitzsimon.

Fitzsimon and Brogan see themselves as a studio act much in the vein of Tin Tin Out and Talk Talk. Their influences range from The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Jimmy Webb, Jacques Brel and David Bowie.

New album, “Big Blue World” is due for release in June, with another scheduled for fall 2018 release.

Joél Hernandez Reinvents Guitar Driven Pop

Prodigiously gifted singer, songwriter and guitarist Joel Hernandez is just 20, but the pop-rock wunderkind has already absorbed a lifetime of music. Growing up in El Campo, Texas, he soaked up the region’s diverse soundscapes. Through his multi-generational musician family, he learned how to be a thoughtful and emotive songwriter. Joel’s debut is rife with standout tracks. On the bluesy pop rocker “So Young,” he shares a wise-beyond-his-years perspective on young relationships. “That’s about living in the moment with the people in your life because, as bitter sweet as it is, you know they’ll leave your orbit soon,” Joel says. The amorous “It’s Only You” smoothly melds urban pop to atmospheric rock.

The after-the-love-is-gone ballad “Where Are You Now?” tugs at your heartstrings and sticks in your ears like a Top 40 hit from the future. The anthemic “Spirit Of Summer” celebrates being young with irresistible pop-rock hooks and undeniable melodies. Joel showcases his bluesy roots on “Can’t Get Through” which boasts a sleek pop chorus a la John Mayer. “The album reflects all the different styles of music I grew up with. Back home, you could go out any night of the week and catch two-step music, blues, hard rock, salsa, and Tejano. All these flavors shaped me, and that’s the diversity I wanted to share on my album,” Joel says. This is Joel’s first foray in the pop-rock arena, and he’s doing it with an album of flair, dimension and depth. Joel reflects on this milestone saying: “This is a big step to a career in music, and I’m so excited to get out there and share this album with everyone. It feels like this has been a lifetime in the making.”

Joseph Eid defied his parents, and the odds to follow his Passion for Music

Since the release of his Human LP, Folk-Pop artist Joseph Eid has been garnering considerable buzz. He has been featured in American Songwriter Magazine’s “Best New Music” column and was named as one of the 100 Hottest Live Unsigned Artists by Music Connection Magazine.  The magazine has also reviewed his latest EP release “Watch It Fall” and described him as “an engaging storyteller (a la Jason Mraz) with a keen eye for character.” His song “It’s Only Love” is in a new Universal studios film starring Sharon Stone called “All I Wish.”

Joseph Eid has been writing poetry and dreaming of a career in the arts as long as he can remember. He grew up mostly in the suburbs of New York.  Raised in a strict and traditional home, the arts were only supported as a hobby and never as a career.  During his college years, Eid studied psychology and pre-med.  After his first semester at med school, his dream got too big to hold and Eid made the bold choice of dropping out to move to New York City to pursue music.

While in New York, Joseph Eid picked up a guitar, joined a band, and the songs poured out of him like rain.  His journey then led to Los Angeles where he started playing regularly at open mic nights and showcases.  Shortly after, he began working with world-renowned guitarist/songwriter, David Lamar, honing his songwriting at weekly showcases at the Stone Bar. This lead him to write dozens of new songs as well as record a debut EP, Cardiac Output, followed by a full-length LP, Human.

Known as a dynamic solo performer, Joseph Eid has brought his one-man live show to many of Los Angeles’ premiere music venues. He has toured regionally as well as nationally and has also enjoyed playing regular house concerts and corporate events.  You can catch him every Monday at his current residency in downtown los angles at Bar Mattachine where he performs and hosts a singer songwriter showcase weekly.
